It has been a few years since we have had a hole in one at the 14 Hole Golf League. The last 2 hole in ones were with a Driver at Mill Creek on #13. Bret Matthews kept the streak alive and had his on #13 as well. The only difference was it was at Wild Wood CC and he used a pitching Wedge and aced the 127 yard shot. I know what most of you are thinking, but no it was from the blue tees. Congratulations Bret!!!

On the flip side we were unfortunately paired up with Glenn Cranmer and Benji wasn’t there and had a sub. Between the two Glenn’s they lost close to 20 golf balls. He was fortunate enough to find his third drive and this was his 6th shot before it went off a tree into the woods. At first I was impressed that he could even get up there. Personally I would have played an unplayable ball. You just can’t make this stuff up.

Thank god Bret had the hole in one, he was the only player to beat his cap this week by one stroke.

Low scores go out to:

  • Kris Smith shot 6 over for a 60
  • Jeff Pritchard shot 9 over for a 63
  • Bret Matthews shot 9 over for a 64

Next week we will be on the Front nine. The bye week caused some last minute confusion. The good news is everyone now has an established handicap. The only provisional handicaps will be for subs.

Hopefully the smoke from Canada clears up by next week and we are no longer playing in this haze.

Also, Sorry about sending some of you to the pron website. Grant mentioned his brother might have visited a couple of them and caused his computer to be hacked. Not my words, just some brotherly love!!

The website should be fixed now, but please let me know if any more “oddities” occur so they can be fixed quickly. Bear with me while the look changes a bit, we are getting a makeover.
