Rules

USGA Rules Apply with the following 3 exceptions:

Winter Rules – A ball lying on your fairway may be lifted and cleaned without penalty and placed within one club length where it originally lay, not nearer the hole and so as to preserve as nearly as possible the stance required to play from the original lie.   A ball so lifted is back in play when the player addresses it, or if he does not address it, when he makes his next stroke at it.

Ball Lost in Woods or Tall Grass (or deemed unplayable) – If you did not hit a provisional ball, you may drop a new ball where your ball “ENTERED” the woods or tall grass – with the assessment of a 1-stroke penalty. Effectively you are playing the woods or tall grass as a hazard.  This does not mean you come back into play where you ball should have ended up. Where you “ENTERED” the hazard.

Footprints in Traps – If a ball lies in a footprint in the trap, the ball may be lifted, sand raked,  and dropped from knee height (as defined by the rules of golf) without penalty.
